Counts include every registered trial involving the molecule, including trials where it is a comparator. Dates are the sponsors' own estimates.

How to read this table

Each row is one molecule. Most advanced phase is the highest phase of any registered trial. Trials counts every trial registered on ClinicalTrials.gov that involves the molecule, with the number still active in brackets. Countries is the number of countries with at least one trial site. Choose your country to see only the molecules with a site there.

Method

The data comes from the public ClinicalTrials.gov API and is refreshed once a day. A trial is counted when the molecule appears in its interventions, so trials that use it as a comparator are included. The next milestone is the earliest expected primary completion date among the active trials at the most advanced phase: it is the sponsor's estimate, not a promise of results or approval.

What this table does not tell you

A trial site in a country does not mean the drug is available there. Only an approval by that country's medicines agency does. Research products sold online under the same name are not the molecules tested in these trials. This page is information only and is not medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

What does phase 3 mean?
Phase 3 trials test a treatment in large groups of patients, often thousands, to confirm its effect and safety before a company asks for approval.
Does a trial in my country mean the drug is available there?
No. Trial sites recruit volunteers under strict conditions. A drug is available only after the national medicines agency approves it.
How often is the tracker updated?
Every day, from the ClinicalTrials.gov public database.
Why are BPC-157 and TB-500 in the list?
Because readers ask about them. The table shows how little human trial data exists for them compared with the GLP-1 molecules.
