How IGF-1 LR3 Is Dosed
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a modified form of insulin-like growth factor 1 designed to resist the binding proteins that normally bind native IGF-1, which leaves more of it active.
An important correction: the half-life figure of 20 to 30 hours repeated across many websites is not from human pharmacokinetic data and is not reliable. Animal clearance data actually suggest that LR3 is cleared faster than native IGF-1, not slower, because it evades binding proteins. The roughly 20 hour value that circulates in fact belongs to native IGF-1 for contrast (Guler et al., 1989, PMID 2558477). We therefore do not present a half-life curve for IGF-1 LR3.
Because vials are small (often 1 mg) and doses are in micrograms, careful reconstitution matters. Community protocols use roughly 20 to 100 mcg per day. The calculator converts your chosen mcg dose into exact syringe units.
