How to Use This Peptide Calculator
Enter Peptide Amount
Input the total milligrams (mg) in your peptide vial. Common sizes: 2mg, 5mg, 10mg.
Add Water Volume
Enter how much bacteriostatic water (BAC water) you'll add. More water = easier to measure small doses.
Set Your Dose
Enter your desired dose in micrograms (mcg). The calculator shows exact syringe units to draw.

KPV Dosage Chart: Reconstitution and Syringe Units
A kpv dosage chart answers one question: once the vial is reconstituted, how many units on an insulin syringe correspond to a given amount. That is arithmetic, and it is identical for every peptide, so the chart below applies to KPV exactly as it does to any other compound. It is not a protocol and it recommends no amount: what amount is appropriate for a person, if any, is a question for a qualified healthcare professional.
Reconstitution chart, using 2 mL of bacteriostatic water:
| Vial strength | Concentration | 1 syringe unit delivers | Units for 250 mcg | Units for 500 mcg | Units for 1 mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 mg | 1 mg/mL | 10 mcg | 25 | 50 | 100 |
| 5 mg | 2.5 mg/mL | 25 mcg | 10 | 20 | 40 |
| 10 mg | 5 mg/mL | 50 mcg | 5 | 10 | 20 |
| 20 mg | 10 mg/mL | 100 mcg | 2.5 | 5 | 10 |
| 50 mg | 25 mg/mL | 250 mcg | 1 | 2 | 4 |
An insulin syringe unit is 0.01 mL, so one unit always delivers the concentration multiplied by 10 in micrograms. That single fact is what the whole chart is built on.
Using a different volume of water: the chart scales linearly. With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water the concentration doubles, so use half the units shown. With 3 mL it drops by a third, so use 1.5 times the units shown. The calculator at the top of this page does this for any combination, including volumes that are not round numbers.
Reference values only. Verify every calculation against your own vial before any handling, and remember that a reconstituted vial must be stored refrigerated.
The Math Behind Peptide Reconstitution
Concentration formula:
Concentration (mg/mL) = Peptide (mg) ÷ Water (mL)Units to draw:
Units = [Dose (mcg) ÷ 1000] ÷ Concentration × 100Example: KPV 250mcg dose
- 5mg vial + 2mL BAC water = 2.5 mg/mL
- 250mcg = 0.25mg
- 0.25mg ÷ 2.5 mg/mL = 0.10mL
- 0.10mL × 100 = 10 units on insulin syringe

Understanding Insulin Syringe Units
10 units = 0.10 mL
Quick Reference
- 100 units = 1 mL (full syringe)
- 50 units = 0.5 mL (half syringe)
- 10 units = 0.1 mL (1/10th syringe)
- 1 unit = 0.01 mL
Standard insulin syringes are U-100, meaning 100 units per mL. This calculator uses this standard.
